PAINT SELECTIONS

Sharing all of the paint colors we decided on in this post! Eventually I'll get around to sharing photos of the actual spaces, but that's for another time. ;) We used all Sherwin Williams colors.

Not pictured: we selected Extra White for our white color throughout the whole house.

When building a house, you typically pick one color for your whole house and that's it. If you want any rooms painted another color, they charge you per room. So, I only had our builder do two rooms in different colors and the rest of our house is Sherwin Williams Extra White. It gave me a blank slate and time to decide on other colors if I wanted them.

I knew for sure I wanted our office (current playroom) to be a bold, moody color. I selected Rock Garden for that one and I absolutely love it.

I knew I wanted our media room to be a color other than white, so I went with Repose Gray. I plan on doing black leather furniture in there, and the gray works with that vibe.

The boys' bathroom vanity is painted in Naval. It's a little controversial that I mixed navy with black hardware, but I love it.

All of the other colors listed below were just for my design inspiration! I'm not sure if I'm actually going to paint the rooms those colors or just use accent pieces in those colors. I really love white walls so it's hard to part from that!

The boys' bedroom: I was originally going to paint an accent wall in Livable Green and Oakmoss, but I ended up doing a wallpaper mural instead.

Other boy's bedroom: The one we'll use when they decide they don't want to share a room any longer. I originally thought we'd put them each in their own rooms from the start, and Poolhouse was the color I chose for the second bedroom. Let me tell you though, it's been a relief only having to design one bedroom instead of two! Once we got the bunkbeds, I felt so much more sure of the design.

The laundry room: If we did any cabinetry in the laundry room, I would've done Sleepy Blue. Then I thought, I'll just paint the room that color and buy a piece of furniture instead of doing custom cabinets. Now, I'm not sure where I'm at but I still love this color and it's still part of my design inspo for the space.

Our master bathroom: Romance is the perfect pink and that's what I brought out in the accent pieces I chose without actually going with the paint color. I'm thinking eventually I'll want to wallpaper around our tub, but not sure yet.
